Accomplished author and Professor at the UCSB Bixby Center for Reproductive Health, Dr. Carole Joffe’s research focuses on the social dimensions of reproductive health, with a particular interest in abortion access. Her most recent book, Dispatches from the Abortion Wars, immerses readers in the front lines of abortion provision in the U.S., revealing the persistent cultural, political, and economic hurdles to abortion services.
