Why Should You Care About A Budget?

A budget is the expression of our priorities. On Monday, June 13 & Wednesday, June 15 the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors will hold important budget hearings.

Sometimes budget cuts cost more than they save. Cuts to programs that help the most vulnerable – including people with disabilities and people who are homeless can be extremely costly. READ THE REPORT “Homeless Mentally Ill Indigent Recidivism: This Recycling Is Not Good for The County” at www.sbcgj.org/2011/HomelessMentallyIll.pdf

Get involved! Contact the Board Members NOW and let them know what your priorities are. You can also speak at the public budget hearings.
