“MOVE TO AMEND: We the People, Not We the Corporations”

Wednesday, April 18

from 6-7:30pm at the home of our Chapter Leader Lois Hamilton, 1432 Mountain View Rd. on the Mesa.

APRIL PDSB MEETING will be held Wednesday evening  to discuss the Move to Amend resolution that we will be drafting to the SB City Council to help Santa Barbara become a CITY AGAINST CORPORATE PERSONHOOD.  (http://www.movetoamend.org)

We want members of our group to come ONLY if they wish to get down to business to move forward with this critical movement to keep Corporate money out of our local elections and to work quickly to draft a city resolution which we plan to present for a vote to our SB City Council as soon as possible.

Special Guests:  William Haff, an Ojai resident instrumental in getting this done in Ojai, will be our guest to explain to us how he and others were able to get this done in their small city.  Dr, Laurence Dworet and his wife Antonia will also be joining us for the first time to introduce Mr. Haff.

The city of Los Angeles has adopted this important resolution, making California one of the leading states to move forward with this critical campaign.  It is time to amend the state constitution to keep BIG CORPORATE MONEY out of our California elections and to mandate that only “natural people” can decide the outcome of their elections to reflect the will of the PEOPLE, NOT CORPORATIONS!  CORPORATE MONEY IS NOT FREE SPEECH.

If you are ready to get down to business and contribute to this action, please come to Lois & Van Hamilton’s home on the mesa at 1432 Mountain View Rd. at

6 pm on Wednesday, April 18.   Your input is welcome.  We will have copies for everyone of a sample resolution to review and pamphlets to distribute to members of our community plus the book by Jeffrey Clements entitled CORPORATIONS ARE NOT PEOPLE will be available to purchase for $10.  The
American people need to know the history of this corporate takeover of our political system and the disastrous Supreme Court decision, Citizens United, that legally granted them a free pass to proceed!  It is up to the people to stop them!

Refreshments will be provided.

Peace, Progress, Courage & Compassion,
