PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS OF SANTA BARBARA will be meeting at our regular time this Wednesday at 15 E. Carrillo Street from 6pm sharp to 7:30. Refreshments will be provided.

We have a lot to discuss and plan for our upcoming actions and events, which include the following AGENDA:

1. Great American Write-In on Saturday, August 27, at the Faulkner Gallery from 1pm to 3pm. Need people to volunteer to staff our table to get a Letter to Lois Capps signed—COME SHARE your ideas. Remember: the rally on State Street for Woman’s Equality Day falls on that day. It always gets in the news, so let’s have a presence there, too. SIGNS?

2. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE event at the Faulkner Gallery on September 21—PDSB is co-sponsoring.

3. BIG SURPRISE: PDSB is planning an event with WILPF in October on WHAT NUCLEAR ENERGY COSTS CALIFORNIA / IS IT WORTH THE RISKS AND DANGER? Sharon Rose has procured Tom Hayden to speak at this event.

I am looking for a volunteer to be our PDSB secretary to take notes at meetings and do write-up afterwards.

Please come a little before 6pm, so we can start on time. We need to be out and cleaned up by 7:30.

Let’s not get disheartened, let’s get to work!
