David Cobb and Senator Jackson to speak on Citizens United, 7/7/13

The Santa Barbara chapter of Move To Amend hosts David Cobb, national Move To Amend spokesperson, in a community forum on why the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision is toxic to American democracy and what can be done about it.

David Cobb is a lawyer, political activist, and engaged citizen. He has dedicated his adult life to making the promise of a democratic republic in the United States a reality. In 2004 he ran for president on the Green Party ticket.

In addition, we are privileged to welcome State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson to the forum and to hear her views on how to overturn Citizens United. A representative from Assemblyman Das Williams’s office will also be available to fill us in on what is happening in the State Legislature.

Location: The Faulkner Gallery of the Santa Barbara Central Library, at the corner of Anacapa and Anapamu Streets.

Day and Time: Sunday, July 7, 2013, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
