Another factor to consider before purchasing your vanity is the location of the pipes. If your pipework is running through the floor this may prevent you from having a wall hung vanity if you don't want the pipes to be visible. Likewise if you have pipes running through the wall be aware that the pipes bent into an 's' shape to fit from the plug hole to the wall and this takes up a lot of space which can affect your storage.
Bathroom Vanity Style There are primarily two different bathroom vanity styles Antique - The antique style is usually made out of wood and is inspired by bathroom fixtures of the past. Ranging from very ornate to fairly simple, their classical structure lends distinction to most bathrooms. Antique style vanities can be very expensive depending on the materials required to build the vanity and the level of craftsmanship. However, it is possible to find less expensive vanities in the antique style that have been made with durable, but less expensive materials.
Wall-Mounted Vanities Vanities that are wall mounted, are often very contemporary in their design, but not always. A wall-mounted vanity may be a wise selection for a very small bath, or for a powder room where space is a premium, and grooming needs are not of major importance.
Similarly you need to consider the height of the bathroom mirror above the bathroom vanity for the same reason.
Double Basin - These vanities have two sinks and are usually found in master bedrooms. They give couples or siblings the convenience of separate sinks, but they do take up a good deal of space.
